NORTHLIGHT

Late October on the lake

The first ice came early this year. Mornings start grey and flat, and then for twenty minutes the low sun turns the reeds copper before the light goes soft again. Most of these frames were made in that short window, on a tripod, with cold fingers.

Notes

I shoot mostly on a single fixed lens and print small. The archive is updated a few times a year, usually after long walks along the shore or in the pine forests further inland. Prints are made to order on cotton rag paper.
